Participation drama pitches Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse

This can only be good: The creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly has joined forces with the creators of Sanningen om Marika game and Momentum. That is, The Company P produces Dollplay, a “participation drama” for Dollhouse TV series.

Looks like a very interesting fusion of ARGs, role-play and EQAL‘s lonelygirl15. This time the girl, Hazel Rose, is even lonelier, though, trapped in a box and only communicating with people talking to her through videos.

It’s very interesting to see how the player-character interactions develop here. I already tried to find Hazel’s homepage (like this), FaceBook (like this) and MySpace pages (like this), but my first attempt brought no success. Apparently Hazel’s not a social networker type.

I wonder how long these novel works are dominated by high school / college girls, by the way. Bree, Adrijanna Klinga, Kate Modern, Cathy Vickers and now Hazel Rose. And maybe Laia Salla and Claire Bennet as well.

In any case, go there now and participate today. In a few months it will be permanently gone, and then you can only hope it wasn’t any good.
