Publishing books is obviously the cool thing to do this summer. Improv Everywhere beat us to it by one month; Causing a Scene: Extraordinary Pranks in Ordinary Places with Improv Everywhere by Charlie Todd and Alex Scordellis should be available at all major online bookstores hot from the oven. Two chapters are online for free. I’m quite excited to find the time to take a closer look at it!
(Of course, a group that has a tremendously good website with lots of videos, photos and testimonies is bound to have a hard time trying to provide a printed resource that beats it.)
The photo is from the Best Funeral Ever, Improv’s April Fool’s prank that managed to stir up over 5000 comments worth of discussion on ethics of unaware participation. The same prank also shows why certain journalists need to brush up their pervasive media literacy.
