Can Gaming Make a Better World?

Last month we’ve discussed pervasive games changing the world a lot. Jane McGonigal is the main brain and evangelist saying “Yes, They Can”, being a main mover behind EVOKE, World Without Oil, Superstruct et cetera. For those who have been following Jane for a while, she’s not saying many new things in her TED speech: The point is that Gamers Are Super-Empowered Hopeful Individuals. But if you don’t know her message yet, you should definitely invest the 20 minutes for this.

Don’t forget to check out Akoha, Chore Wars, Teeme Ära, INVOKE and Jesse Schell’s DICE speech if Jane’s speech strikes a chord with you.
